How do I connect my Blue Current with Joulo?

Generate an API key once at my.bluecurrent.nl (under Advanced, desktop only) and paste it into Joulo. After that, your charging sessions are read automatically via the Blue Current API.

I currently use manual or OCPP, do I need to do anything?

The API connection is more accurate and fully automatic. Connect your Blue Current account with your API key and Joulo imports your sessions automatically • including your history since 1 January 2026.

What can I earn with my Blue Current?

At 200 kWh/month you earn approximately €61 per quarter in ERE's. Joulo charges 20% standard service fee, with referrals lowering it down to 10%.

Do my sessions appear quickly in the dashboard?

Joulo syncs with the Blue Current API every 15 minutes. While charging, you see your sessions flow in, usually within a few minutes after a session ends.

Blue Current also offers ERE's itself • what's the difference with Joulo?

Blue Current has its own ERE programme, booked by Drive-Green B.V. There you keep 60% of the proceeds as an individual (40% fee) and 75% for business (25% fee). Connect your Blue Current to Joulo instead and you keep 80% as an individual (20% service fee, down to 10% via referrals) and 85% for business • about 20 percentage points more on the very same sessions.

Does my Blue Current have a MID meter for ERE registration?

Blue Current chargers with a built-in MID-certified meter (such as the NanoCharge, Nano XL, U:Move and the Hidden) are directly eligible for ERE registration via Joulo. The Hidden, the in-meter-cabinet variant of the MOVE platform, has a MID-certified kWh meter (Blue Current manufacturer declaration). Whether your charger is the MID variant depends on the version • Joulo verifies this automatically via the Blue Current API. If your unit has no built-in MID meter, Joulo arranges an upgrade to a MID charger, or you request a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP) with your grid operator.
